Basidiomycota: Club fungi
Basidiomycota is one of the major phyla of fungi, which consists about 30,000 of described species including mushrooms, puffballs and shelf fungi. It is distinguished by the presence of club-shaped spore-bearing organ - basidia. The spores produced are called basidiospores. Many of them are edible, such as button mushroom, the shiitake mushroom and oyster mushroom. |
