How do fungi reproduce?
Majority of the fungi can reproduce both sexually and asexually. They can spread quickly through asexual reproduction in the stable environment. But when the environment are in unfavourable condition, the fungi will undergo sexual reproduction.

Fungi are an ancient group of organisms at least 400 million years old. There are nearly 74,000 described species, in five groups (described in table 18.1), and many more awaiting discovery. There are four phyla of fungi that we want to highlight which are Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Chtrydiomycota and Zycomycota.
